Starting a family is a special occasion. That’s why we offer maternity benefits that include gynecologists’ visits and ultrasound scans as well as the costs related to birth.
You have the option of choosing one of two birth procedures:
- R20 000 cover for normal birth. Normal birth is defined as when the infant is born spontaneously (without help) in the vertex position (head down) between 37 and 42 completed weeks of pregnancy.
- R30 000 for cesarean delivery (C-Section). A C-Section is a surgical procedure used to deliver a baby through incisions in the abdomen and uterus.
Our maternity benefits (subject to the maximum scheme rate), is limited to two gynecologist visits and/or two ultrasound scans per pregnancy.
